Mickenzie "Ms. Mckenzie" Manning has nurtured a profound love for music since childhood. Her journey began in the youth choir at church, where her singing talents were first showcased. In the 5th grade, she started taking piano lessons, and by the 7th grade, she had begun playing the harp, eventually joining the American Youth Harp Ensemble. This ensemble allowed her to travel and perform in prestigious locations such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Scotland, Carnegie Hall, and the Kennedy Center.
Ms. Mckenzie was invited to perform in Paris as a featured harpist by the renowned singer Liz McCoeb. She pursued her passion for music academically at Virginia Union University (VUU), focusing on vocal training, classical piano, and harp performance. She furthered her studies in harp performance at the University of Mary Washington.
Her talent led her to the role of accompanying solo harpist with the Richmond Philharmonic Symphony. In addition to her performance career, Ms. McKenzie has worked as a vocal coach and director at multiple churches in the Richmond, VA, area, helping to nurture the next generation of musicians.
